Welcome

Welcome one, welcome all, to www.mindonfire.co.uk, the home of forward thinking Manchester music.

We are always looking for music for the website so send tracks through to mofsounds@gmail.com. Any and all genres are welcome, we want to give a good picture of the wide variety of music happening in the city right now.

Feel free to browse around at your leisure and listen to Mancunian music until your heart is content.  Everywhere you see the orange speaker icon you can click to add that song to a playlist and everywhere there is a green download icon, well you know the rest surely. You will be able to listen to songs without being a member but to access free MP3 downloads and Mixes and Podcasts you will first have to register here.

There are currently 41 artists featured on the site with more in the pipeline so to help you digest all of this music we will be featuring one act every couple weeks.

So the Hear No Evil, See No Evil project kicked off this Bank Holiday Weekend in fine style. It was a fantastic start to what promises to be a great collaboration between ourselves and the 158 Projects clan. Later this month will be a lauch party featuring Paper Tiger and the MOF band as well as DJs from the ourselves and the Herbal Sessions crew, keep them there peepers peeled.

Soundwave review by Beatnik     2010-08-25
Check out this awesome diary from Soundwave 2010 by Beatnik Online, featuring a nice little review of the MOF Band. Look out for more collaborations and footage to follow!

"Early in the afternoon, while most were swimming, catching up on some down time or on some drinking, Manchester collective Mind on Fire emerged from the DJ booth to the stage, tearing said place down despite the relatively sparse crowd. Sporting their band tees that many of the visitors started rocking over the next few days they started the party with raps and soulful vocals, wetting our appetites for the glories to come. These boys won new fans with each unique joint."
