Dub Smugglers Sound System

You can check these guys selecting on Fridays at Red Rum and will be residents at the returning Reggae Thursdays session at Saki.

NEIGHBOURHOOD will be returning for a one off special at Islington Mill in April, and hold tight for some more cheeky bar sessions and festival shows in the coming months.

Go Lebanon will be returning for their first show since the Mind on Fire website launch a year ago supporting Tune Yards next month.

Also, we will be running a competition to win 2 free tickets to see Faust in the coming months, so keep checking back. If you saw their Futuresonic show in 2008 youll know that this show will be awesome!

Mount Kimbie at MOF in March!

We are excited to announce that we will be teaming up with our good friends This City Is Ours for a really great show in March, one of our best line ups to date, if i do say so myself.

Mount Kimbie have been making waves with their first 2 releases on Hot Flush, and will be playing a full live show alongside XXXY, Denis Jones, Borland, From The Kites of San Quentin and more. Click below for more info.

New Artist – Extra Love

The next new artist to be added to the site is the Natural Selection affiliated “Extra Love” band. Their sound is deep and dubby, with an excellent horn section keeping things rolling but they are also adept at switching things up and bringing extra sounds and textures into their music. Matt Halsall

Another day and another fantastic MCR record label to share with everyone. If you have had half an eye on the world of Jazz in Manchester you couldn’t have failed to happen across the name of trumpeter Matt Halsall at some point. The video featured below is the title track from the album “Colour Yes”, Matt’s second solo offering and the 3rd from his label GONDWANA RECORDS, the other being an outing from the Saxsophonist Nat Birchall.
