What do you get when you mix good times, tight denim jeans, research chems and casual nihilism? AIDS. And Go Lebanon. Go Lebanon are just SO the buzz around town, darling, they are just out of control. Stalwarts of such amazing Manchester nights as The Aftershow, these crazy cats have been hob-nobbing with the overambitious and undernourished for longer than they care to remember. Described at last year's In The City as “Dollar signs, baby!”, “This sounds like a lot of things I've heard on XFM - I LOVE IT!!!” and “The only thing that took my mind off the fact that this shitty festival isn't SXSW”. GL have been carving a niche in the shallow cesspit that is Manchester's Indie scene for what seems like millennia, having been known to party until 2am before grabbing their inhalers and getting to bed to avoid breaking out in a rash - these truly are the wild boys of rock. Apart from music, various members are famous for having the most haircuts in one day (Guiness 2007), becoming the UK's first doctor of Freddie Ljungberg and being arrested for serial bestiality in an otter sanctuary. ASBOs have currently confined this white hot ensemble to the Northern Quarter, but nothing can stop them from rocking - unless of course they've recently played for Glasswerk and can't play G7 chords due to contractual restrictions.
